I've been working on these primitive stitcheries. My feeling is it is never too soon to start working on Christmas items. The time just seems to run away and before long it is Christmas and nothing has been created.
I plan to make little tiny pillow/bowl fillers out of them for Christmas this year. If you'd like to see what everyone else has been working on then go to http://sweets-mycountryhome.blogspot.com/
Lisa~A firkin is a small wooden cask used to store pantry items. Sugar, butter, flour. People used them recently as ice buckets. The one I found actually has a plastic liner inside. They make great decorative storage prim pieces...If you find one pick it up! A lot of people paint them...I think I will leave mine as is! I love what you are doing for Christmas...very nice!
Currently I'm a LCMS pastor's wife living in rural Wisconsin. We homeschool our 5 children ages 15 down to 6. I enjoy scrapbooking, quilting, crafting in general plus antiques and collectibles. One of my favorite items is primitive decor. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Come back often or sign up to follow my blog. You can do that through feedblitz or blogger.
I love these designs and this cute idea! I love making things for Christmas gifts!
